a bag of oranges

DEAR SPIRO ATHANAS,

Hi my name is Jasmyne I read your story "a bag of oranges" the story is okay I don't I don't got nothing bad to say about it . Other than how the story begin. the story should have begin with more background about the father and son.       I also had my own coming of age experience but it does not really relate to the situation because my coming of age experience was me starting to buy my own cloths and shoes and not depending on my mama. The theme of the story was how the son was not  grateful for his father because he was embarrassed to be around him.                                                          He soon had a coming of age experience he became thankful of being with his father .Something I also had to mature from because i used to hate being with my mama and daddy .But that was a coming of age experience I had to.

SINCERELY ,
JASMYNE

Dear erugenia w. collier,

this story was not as Interestinq as I thought. the words that you were using were confusing because you seem very southern. for example "i suppose that futile waiting was sorrowful'.But i do like that the story was short beacause it was easier to finish. i also like the choice of words you used to express something .But overall most important this story did teach a lesson and actually made me think unlike most stories .Although it did not make me want to keep reading. But  it was written by a black author which made it somewhat a culture shock because of the time it occurred. All in all this short story was good  to learn about but fun and interesting was not my opion of the story.

social networking is a distraction and/or bad influence on teenagers.
social networking is a bad influence in many ways some say its a distraction. some say its a bad influence beacause social networking shows a world of things that teenagers should not be introduced to at our age such as youtube which shows videos of people dancing vulgor, singing vulgur songs. its a pathway to distruction to the mind.

networking also causes peer pressure. it gives access for kids to potray as somoeone their not.whichlets teenagers say or do things they would not do in person .for example girls get in trouble for mistakes such as sending nood pictures which could lead to more prblems for that girl such as getting names, being seen on other people phones.

time is also a  big problem when it comes to the computer..for example homework never gets done.which means grades drop and more problems occur.social networking is a big distraction because it can be very addidtive. And it makes it worse when they have their on computers which most kids have now a days

All together the pictures, videos, post and statuses all could be to much for our age .but social networking does nothing to block certain things.so being on thesenetworks could effect our thinking change how we act which is another problem in a teenagers life furthure more the peer pressure is a strong because when one person does something another kid wants to try it to fit in or be cool.

Also since some parents have no control over their children kids stay on the computer so most likley nothing else gets done and its shows in school.
